European companies show interest in Armenia’s aviation market
‘Hraparak’ writes citing its sources that the recent decision of the Armenian government to turn Armenia’s air space into a free zone for flights caused great interest of a number of European companies, which began inquiring about details of the future deal.
“They reportedly even met with representatives of the authorities in order to speed up their entrance into Armenia’s aviation market.
They show an interest in the Gyumri airport as well because auxiliary airports are cheaper and more profitable from a commercial point of view,” the paper notes.
Sources of ‘Hraparak’ didn’t give the names of European companies, but Ryanair and Virgin are mentioned among European companies to have shown an interest.
