Armed attack on HAK office in Yerevan
A man in his 50s, armed with a knife, forced his way into the office of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) Party in Yerevan around 12:10 pm today, making threats against HAK leaders, the press service of HAK said.
HAK members immediately informed the Armenian police about the incident. Policemen arrived at the HAK office and collected evidence of witnesses. Law enforcers said there are several surveillance cameras in the area, giving their assurances that all cameras are operational.
“Under such conditions the Police will not have difficulty identifying the person who forced his way into the HAK office and finding him. The HAK will present its assessment concerning the incident when that person will be discovered and his motives revealed,” HAK said in a statement.
