Vrezh Zatikian among detained activists
There were clashes between activists and the police in downtown Yerevan today. Over 20 people were detained and taken to a police station.
Activist Vrezh Zatikian told the correspondent of Aysor.am that he was kept in a police station. “I shouted and they detained me along with the others. We are just waiting now. We don’t know what will happen next”.
According to Vrezh Zatikian, about 20 people were detained along with him.
Let us remind you that activists wearing Guy Fawkes masks organized a march today in downtown Yerevan. They were led by the chairman of Tseghakron Party Shant Harutyunian. The march started in Liberty Square at 5:00 pm and turned into clashes with the police on Mashtots Avenue. The marchers tried to explode Molotov cocktails. Shant Harutyunian was detained.
Offenders were called to order by the police that cleared the avenue. Over 20 offenders were taken to a police station. Some policemen received injuries.
