Armenian police chief used violence, Shant Harutyunian maintains
Armenian parliamentary deputy Nikol Pashinian visited yesterday all 20 people detained during the November 5 events on Mashtots Avenue in Yerevan.
Pashinian wrote on his Facebook page that at the meeting the detainee Shant Harutyunian informed him that the Armenian police chief Vladimir Gasparian and his deputy Hunan Poghosian used violence against him, while a group of policemen held his arms. Another detained man, Vardan Vardanian, also told Pashinian that V. Gasparian used violence against him.
As a deputy of the Armenian parliament, Nikol Pashinian calls for a proper investigation into these claims.
