Moscow’s position on Karabakh not changed: Russian MFA
“Russia remains committed to the principle of a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The position of official Moscow concerning the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict has not changed, and it is a principled stand. That position was repeatedly indicated in statements of the heads of Russian Foreign Ministry and the Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group”, the Press and Information Department of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in response to a question of the APA news agency (Azerbaijan) in connection with the recent statement of Andrei Ruzinsky, commander of the Russian military base in Armenia.
‘The statement issued by the presidents of Russia, the United States, and France in June 2013 needs to be recalled as well. It said that a renewal of hostilities would be disastrous for the population of the region,” the Russian MFA said in the statement.
