Hraparak: Expectations from Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting not great
'Hraparak’ writes that Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev will meet either in Vienna or in Zurich on November 19. The expectations from the summit are not great: it will be a meeting for a meeting’s sake, experts say. The American side wants to say that the negotiations have not been deadlocked and under its control, and at the same time the U.S. tries to deter Russia from using the Ossetian-Abkhazian scenario for Karabakh.
By the way, prior to the summit, Aliyev will travel to Kiev on November 18, while Serzh Sargsyan went to Artsakh yesterday. According to sources of ‘Hraparak’, “at the upcoming summit the Armenian side will insist on the thesis of making Karabakh a negotiating side again. Let us remind you that under President Kocharian, Karabakh was withdrawn from the negotiating process,” the paper says.
