Artsakhbank offers cheated owners to buy apartments from bank
Apartment owners cheated by Tonus building company broke into a Yerevan branch of Artsakhbank today. One of the apartment owners, Ms. Zoya Petrosian, told the correspondent of Aysor.am that a few days ago the bank made an unacceptable offer to them.
“A few days ago we met with bank employees who offered us to buy our apartments for $900 per square meter, whereas we already paid $400 per square meter for our apartments,” she said.
In her words, promises were made today to organize a meeting with bank management on Saturday to discuss the situation.
Hrant Ghambarian who was appointed a manager on the bankruptcy case told Aysor.am that he doesn’t know the real reason for the owners’ discontent, adding that an investigation into the case is underway.
‘They are probably not happy with the bank’s conditions. Some of the apartment owners complained to me in this connection,” he noted.
Aysor.am repeatedly tried today to obtain comments of Artsakhbank CJSC. It turned out that no one in the bank’s offices in Armenia and Artsakh is authorized to answer journalists’ questions.
The editorial staff of Aysor.am is ready to publish the bank’s answer in connection with what happened.
