Zhoghovurd: Prime minister makes another scandalous statement

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan made yet another scandalous statement yesterday, ‘Zhoghovurd’ says. “Armenia is in first place in the world form the viewpoint of starting a business. In Armenia it is easier to register a business than in any other country. But going out of business should be difficult,” Tigran Sargsyan stated at the government session yesterday.

“It should be mentioned that although the prime minister was in a good mood – he talked to government members and joked, he made that statement in earnest. His words mean that if anyone choses to do business in Armenia, he will become an eternal captive of the authorities and won’t be able to get rid of them. The fact is that it is easy to register a business in Armenia, but the unbearable conditions become evident only after you start working: regular changes in the tax laws, rackets by tax and other law enforcement agencies or criminal elements, and so on,” the paper says.
