Adibekian: Accumulative pension system is negative phenomenon
Sociologist Aharon Adibekian believes that the accumulative pension system is a negative phenomenon for countries with a weak economy such as Armenia.
“A citizen who receives a monthly salary of 100 thousand drams will have to pay 26% as social contributions to the state, that is, 26 thousand drams. It is a large sum,” he said.
Adibekian at the same time expressed an opinion that pension funds can be trusted as they will be allowed to enter the market of shares, and the state will check their activities once a year or every three months.
