Hraparak: Ayntap village divided into two camps
“The upcoming December 8 elections of village administrator in Ayntap village, Ararat province, have divided the community into two camps. According to ‘Hraparak’, member of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) Karen Sargsyan is running for the second time, while his rival is ex-administrator of the village, unaffiliated person Levon Tarverdian. As they say, he caused havoc in the village. “Tarverdian sold lands belonging to Ayntap village and many are terrified by the prospect of his return. He is well-connected and stands a chance. Ayntap is a large village in the province, with a population of 12 thousand and a large budget so a fierce struggle is expected,” the paper writes.
