Haykakan Zhamanak: There are gay marriages in Armenia too
There have been gay marriages in Armenia, too. ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ daily learned about one such case. After their wedding, the gay couple lives with the parents of one of them. The marriage is not registered officially. No wedding ceremony was held in a church, the couple only lit a candle for good luck. The parents of two young men accepted the fact.
The mother of one of them told the daily’s correspondent: “I wouldn’t wish what is going on in my house on my worst enemy. Perhaps I did not bring him up well. But he is my son and I will not reject him only because he is gay,” she said.
