3 million AMD allocated for ‘3 apples fell from heaven’ contest
‘Zhoghovurd’ says that the 2014 draft state budget has quite a few absurd expenditures and it is clear at a glance that these sums are allocated for further ‘kickbacks’.
For example, the government proposes to allocate 106.9 million drams (about $260 thousand) for studies to assess the government’s activities, quality of life, and community needs, and 50 million drams ($123 thousand) will be provided to ensure publicity of Armenia’s state debt management.
“It is planned to allocate 3 million drams for ‘Three Apples Fell from Heaven’ contest-festival of fairy tale narrators. There is an opinion that if speeches that Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan has made in the past five years are presented at the contest, he will certainly win the first prize,” the paper writes.
