Farmers markets to operate in city from December 21 till end of year
Farmers’ markets will operate in the vicinity of Kasian Street and Arami Street in Yerevan from December 21 until the end of the year, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Robert Makarian told reporters today.
According to him, this year farm produce fairs were open mostly on Saturdays and Sundays. 52 and 35 fairs were organized in the city’s Kentron and Arabkir administrative districts, respectively. Booths and scales were provided to farmers free of charge.
The deputy minister said that resellers are banned from trading in farmers’ markets and only farmers are allowed to sell their produce to consumers.
