Ukraine to boost EU cooperation, sign deals
Ukraine is set to sign a package of five agreements with the European Union in an effort to advance its EU association, PM Mykola Azarov has said, according to the Voice of Russia.
“The Cabinet of Ministers has given the green light to the signing of five deals,” Mr. Azarov told reporters Wednesday.
“We are working on a framework agreement that will introduce institutional reforms as part of the Eastern Partnership program,” he added.
Azarov also announced the Ukrainian government was preparing a local development project that will help it manage migration and refugee flows.
Another accord up for signing will focus on nuclear safety, including “practical steps for cooperation with the EU."
The premier stressed that such “laborious work in the world of ever increasing competition speaks louder than all Maidan slogans and manifestos.”
