Hraparak: Vazgen Manukian to be re-appointed Public Council head
‘Hraparak’ paper writes citing its sources that Vazgen Manukian who had met with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu should have been ‘re-appointed’ chairman of the Public Council by the New Year, but this time by the law, rather than at the president’s discretion.
“The fact is that the law on Public Council has long been ready. By the law, the powers of the Public Council shall be expanded both in the parliament and executive power. It was expected that the law would be adopted in December and member of the Public Council Khosrov Harutyunian would nominate Vazgen Manukian as a candidate for the Council’s chairman,” the paper says.
Yet, according to the paper’s sources, the law will be presented for discussion in April or May.
