Did France’s 'First lady' try to commit suicide?
The civil wife of the President of France, Valery Trierweiler was hospitalized last Friday due to taking too high a dose of drugs. Her relatives have categorically rejected the version of an attempted suicide. The relatives reported this information to the Le Point magazine, which published it. "Valerie only took a couple of extra pills", one of her close relatives said, the Voice of Russia reports.
Trierweiler took the drugs on Friday after a conversation with Francois Hollande about his relationship with actress Juliet Gayet.
The reason for the heart-to-heart talk was a publication in the Closer magazine stating that the President of France had a secret relationship with the actress for several months. According to Le Point, the morning after she took the medicine, Trierweiler started vomiting and was hospitalized.
According to other media, when being hospitalized, the President’s companion suffered sharp hypotony, signs of fatigue and dark mood.
In an article entitled "Valerie Trierweiler: the Tragedies of the Mysterious Woman", the Le Point cites her own words stated to the doctors: "They accuse me of everything, even of my hospitalization."
She had in mind the numerous criticisms in her address that circulates in the French society in recent months. In particular, it is due to the fact that Francois Hollande and Valerie Trierweiler are not officially married.
According to the BFM channel, on January 14, the doctors conducted a consultation and recommended the civil wife of the French leader to continue the course of treatment in the hospital.
According to the Le Point and Parisienne, the story of publishing allegations about Francois Hollande’s new love affair became a “genuine shock” for Trierweiler.
As it was previously reported, the President’s girlfriend may stay in the hospital for about a week.
