Visa-free stay in Russia limited to 90 days during 6 months
Amendments to the Russian laws on entry into the Russian Federation and exit from the RF and on legal status of foreign citizens in the RF took effect on January 1, 2014. According to the amendments, starting from January 1, 2014, citizens of the countries who have the right to a visa-free entry to Russia, including Armenian citizens, may stay in Russia for no more than 90 days during each period of 180 days.
The State Migration Service of Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration warns that it means that after staying in Russia for 90 days, citizens of these countries may not cross the Russian border and immediately return – something which they were allowed to do previously.
In case of violating this order, foreigners will be banned from entering Russia for three years.
