Zhamanak: Layoff of 41 employees of ENA delayed until late March

‘Zhamanak’ daily says that employees of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) CJSC remain discontented with management methods of ENA Director General Yevgeny Bibin.

Y. Bibin earlier took a decision to close down the big customer service department and lay off 41 employees.

The department head Rafik Askarian told the daily that the process was delayed until late March. The decision was made by Yevgeny Bibin, but only after Moscow had intervened. “They told us yesterday that the process has been frozen until late March. We don’t know what is going to happen next, but we hope for the best,” Askarian said, expressing hope that Bibin will not remain the company’s head by late March.

“God grant that he will not remain here by the end of March and we will continue to work, “the department head said.

When asked why he believes that Y. Bibin will be recalled by Moscow, Askarian replied: “He will not remain, he will go. I am not quite sure, but he will resign because he cannot work”.
