Zhamanak: Government no longer uses Ucom services
There were media reports yesterday that the Armenian government no longer uses the services of Ucom Internet provider, according to ‘Zhamanak’ daily.
The paper says that ABC-Beeline joint venture offering more affordable services, rather than Ucom, was announced the winner of a tender held a few days ago.
The head of Ucom Company’s marketing unit Ashot Barseghian confirmed this information during a talk with the daily’s correspondent. He added that there is nothing unusual about it. “We have taken part in tenders since 2009, but we didn’t win every year,” he said.
