Prime minister’s brother does not mention their relation in declaration
Armenian Ambassador to China Armen Sargsyan does not yield his brother, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, in terms of his wealth. According to the declaration that Ambassador Sargsyan submitted to the High-Ranking Official Ethics Commission, he amassed his fortune in Armenian drams, dollars, euros, and yuans.
Armen Sargsyan has 15 million drams, $85 thousand, 7 thousand euros, and 20 thousand yuans (about 1.4 million drams) in his bank account. Besides, the ambassador indicated three real properties and an Acura car in his declaration. He earned all this on an annual salary of $31.7 thousand and a pension of 1.5 million drams.
“Interestingly, Armen Sargsyan did not mention his brother Tigran Sargsyan in the declaration’s part A2 about blood relationship with high-ranking officials. By the way, Tigran Sargsyan did not say either that his full brother is the ambassador to China”.
