Ammunition found in Karate Federation used for film making
The ammunition found in Armenia’s Karate Federation was intended and used for making films, Aysor.am was informed by the press service of the Federation.
According to an employee of the press service, the arms were legal and belonged to the Federation.
“They came based on Israel Sargsyan’s statement who told the police he is the head of the federation’s security unit, but he was a rank-and-file member of the federation. His powers were suspended in 2013,” the interlocutor told Aysor.am.
We would remind you that Israel Sargsyan was detained on suspicion of killing Arthur Safarian, the brother of a man nickmaned Tevosik and well-known in the criminal underworld.
The police said earlier today that as part of investigation into the murder of Arthur Safarian, a search was conducted on the premises of Armenia’s Karate Federation by a decision of a court of general jurisdiction.
The police found and seized 800 grams of trotyl, smoke bombs, detonators, dummy and service grenades, a large number of cartridges, bullet-proof vests, and parts of submachine guns.
