Anniversary of Islamic revolution marked in Iranian embassy in Armenia
The Speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly Hovik Abrahamian attended a reception held in the Iranian embassy in Yerevan on the 35th anniversary of the1979 Islamic Revolution, according to the IRIB news agency.
Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Raiesi said in his speech that one of the most important principles of Iran’s foreign policy is the development of relations with all the countries, especially neighbors. Ambassador Raiesi stressed the high level of relations with Armenia. He expressed his gratitude to the Armenian parliamentary speaker and wished success to the government and citizens of Armenia.
Hovik Abrahamian for his part congratulated those present on the 35th anniversary of the Islamic revolution and wished them a peaceful future, prosperity and progress.
“Armenia highly appreciates the centuries-old relationship with Iran,” the speaker stated, adding: “There is close economic cooperation between Armenia and Iran. Bilateral relations are developing in energy, transport, environmental protection, culture, science, education and other spheres”.
