Drug prices to go up in Armenia
Prices of medicines will increase by 8-10% after Armenia joins the Customs Union, which is evident from a comparison of Armenian State Revenue Committee’s official data and customs duties’ rates.
“The problem is that no customs duties are currently levied on medicines imported into Armenia, while 8-10% duties are set for Customs Union member countries. It should be noted that prices of many drugs already went up 7% in Armenia last year,” ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ writes.
