Defense ministry: Internal investigations completed
The internal investigations into the beating of conscript Mher Khlghatian and the deaths of servicemen Edik Shahnazarian and Arshak Zardarian have been completed. The commanders of the military units were reprimanded, while the doctors involved in the cases of Mher Khlgahtian and Edik Shahnazarian have been dismissed, Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisian told Aysor.am.
According to him, the military unit commander and doctors, including the medical service head Captain Arman Tadevosian were reprimanded in the conscript Mher Khlghatian beating case.
On January 13 Mher Khlghatian was admitted to the Central Military Hospital of Defense Ministry with pneumonia and injuries. Sergeant Vahe Ohanian, a serviceman of the same military unit, and the head of the unit’s military service Captain Arman Tadevosian were detained during the investigation. Criminal cases were opened.
