Armenia’s national brand to be developed
The Armenian government approved today the 2014 program of business environment improvement measures. The program is aimed at enhancing Armenia’s overall competitiveness. The measures will enable to simplify administrative procedures for starting and developing a business, promote rapid growth and implement a balanced tax and customs policy.
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan stressed the importance of working out a complex program in the next four months and including the proposals made at the recent discussion of the issue into that program.
The government made an amendment to one of its previous decision and allocated 62 million drams to Economy Ministry for the development of Armenia’s national brand and its presentation to the global community. The minister was instructed to sign a grant agreement with Armenia’s National Competitiveness Foundation on condition that the remaining part of the sum for the program’s implementation – $225 thousand will be received from other sources.
