Dairy prices will go up
The prices of main foodstuffs imported into Armenia from third countries will go up considerably after Armenia joins the Customs Union. In any case, the current customs duties in the Eurasian market give no cause for positive expectations.
Prices of meat and meat products imported into Armenia will rise by up to 15%. Prices of all dairy products imported from third countries such as milk, butter, cheese, cream and so on will increase by at least 5-12%. Due to high customs duties in the dairy market, the price of dairy butter is expected to rise by 18.3%, prices of various types of cheese will go up by about 22.5%.
