Interim parliamentary commission starts examining gas supply system
The Armenian parliament’s interim commission set up to examine work of Armenia’s gas supply system has convened its first sitting today. The sitting is still underway, according to PastInfo news agency.
The commission is composed of Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) faction members, namely Chairman of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs David Harutyunian, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Financial, Credit and Budget Affairs Gagik Minasian, Chairman of the Standing Committee of Economic Affairs Vardan Aivazian and the leader of the Christian-Democratic Union Khosrov Harutyunian, as well as representatives of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) Mikael Melkumian and Gurgen Arsenian, Orinats Yerkir Party (OEK) faction member Hovhannes Margarian, secretary of Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction Aram Manukian, secretary of ARFD faction Aghvan Vardanian, and head of Heritage faction Ruben Hakobian.
The interim commission’s sittings will be held behind closed doors, except in cases envisaged by a decision of the commission.
