Hraparak: BHK opposed to new pension law, but pays contributions
‘Hraparak’ paper asked the member of Prosperous Armenia (BHK) parliamentary faction Gurgen Arsenian if he knows that the companies belonging to him have paid 5% accumulative pension contributions.
The paper says that on the one hand Shangri La casino and other enterprises of BHK leader Gagik Tsarukian pay those contributions, while on the other hand the party is involved in the struggle against the introduction of the compulsory accumulative pension system in Armenia. According to Arsenian, he complains against the ill-timed introduction of the compulsory component, but “the law took effect in Armenia. You may disagree with this law, but you have no right to break laws. If I am against the abolition of the death penalty in Armenia, it does not mean that I should apply the death penalty to this or that person”.
