Minister’s son was suspected of drug possession and theft – Pastinfo.am
Pastinfo news agency learned some notable details of Armenian Sport and Youth Affairs Minister Yuri Vardanian’s son – David Vardanian’s past in the United States.
According to the source, the world-famous weightlifter’s son was deported from the U.S. after these facts came to light. First of all, the young man had a false U.S. passport. U.S. law enforcers said that prior to his trip to America, David Vardanian forged his birthdate from 1984 to 1986 through his father’s connections in Gyumri, in order to become eligible for U.S. citizenship.
In 2000 when David Vardanian turned 16, he received an Armenian passport from the passport unit of the city of Gyumri. Later when David reached draft age, he was wanted for draft evasion under Article 327 part 1 of Armenia’s Criminal Code.
In addition, U.S. law enforcers suspected David Vardanian of illegal drug possession, theft, and robbery.
