Zhamanak: Finance minister’s visit to Moscow costs 2 million drams
‘Zhamanak’ paper writes that Armenian Finance Minister David Sargsyan went on a two-day visit to Moscow. According to the paper, by a decision of the prime minister, the visit expenses were assessed at 2 million drams (about $5,000).
“It is unlikely that a two-day business trip to Moscow will cost $5,000,” the paper says.
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan has repeatedly spoken about the need to introduce a luxury tax. It will be a correct decision if the government starts to levy a luxury tax on business trips of officials. According to governmental information, David Sargsyan will be on a working visit to Moscow on March 21-22 to attend consultations about the terms of Russian state credits for extension of the Armenian nuclear power plant’s operation.
