Fierce fighting underway in Kesab, Syrian army retreats
Fierce fighting continued yesterday in Armenian-populated town of Kesab in northwestern Syria. According to yerakouyn.com, the militant groups that launched attacks from Turkey have taken control of Kesab. The Syrian army retreated after fierce battles in order to reinforce its troops and deal a counterblow, Arab sources said.
At 11:20 pm yesterday the Syrian army started an artillery attack on Nap Al Muri position at the Turkish border.
We would remind you that the Armenian-populated town of Kecab was attacked from three border positions in the territory of Turkey Friday morning.
Many of the Armenian residents had to leave Kesab and spend the night in Latakia’s Surb Astvatsatsin Church.
