Constitutional Court to take decision on compulsory pension next week
At 10:00 am today the Constitutional Court of Armenia starts examining the appeal of the four non-coalition factions of the Armenian parliament to recognize some articles of the Law on Accumulative Pensions as unconstitutional.
According to ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’, the authorities decided not to drag out the case: there are rumors that the Constitutional Court will take a decision next week, most likely on Tuesday.
“The fact is that ‘I am against’ movement has gathered momentum, due to which the authorities expressed willingness to discuss the possibility of making amendments to the law. ‘I am against’ will stage a ‘silent protest’ outside the court at 12 pm today. The protest will last until the end of court sittings,” the paper says.
