Hraparak: Ukrainian ambassador Kukhta will not return to Armenia
‘Hraparak’ paper says that Armenia’s ‘no’ vote at the UN came as a surprise to Armenian Ambassador to Ukraine Andranik Manukian as well: the day before he received a phone call from Yerevan that Armenia would abstain and that he could inform the Ukrainian side about that. Ukraine had recalled temporarily its ambassador to Yerevan, Ivan Kukhta, to see how Armenia will vote at the UN.
On the day of the vote the Ukrainian foreign ministry spread information that the ambassador will return to Armenia within a week ‘regardless of Armenia’s vote’. However, according to sources of ‘Hraparak’, a decision was already made that Mr. Kukhta will not return to Armenia.
