Minasian: Agreement with CU may be signed ahead of schedule
Armenia is prepared to sign the agreement on the entry into the Customs Union within a month after the negotiations are completed, Armenian Deputy Minister of Economy Karine Minasian said at the Republican Party of Armenia-held second economic forum ‘Armenia and the Customs Union: Opportunities and Challenges”.
According to her, a delay in signing the agreement with the Customs Union may ‘slow down the implementation of work’.
K. Minasian said that Armenia should implement 262 measures prior to joining the CU: 100 measures were implemented, 126 are in the implementation process, and the remaining 20 ones are the most complex.
In her words, another 40 measures will be taken after signing the agreement. “Our participation in this structure will be of value to Customs Union as well,” Karine Minasian said.
