Entry into CU not to hinder Armenian commodity exports to Europe
Armenia’s entry into the Customs Union will not hinder exports of Armenian commodities to the European market even at zero rates of customs duties, the chairman of the Union of Domestic Commodity Producers Vazgen Safarian told reporters, noting that GSP+ contributes to that.
According to him, under GSP+ (Generalized Scheme of Preferences) Armenia may export 11, 000 various goods at zero rates.
“We currently export copper and molybdenum ores to the European market and finished goods to Russia and Kazakhstan. The dynamics says much for finished goods,” he noted.
