168 Hours: Abrahamian tried to clarify Kremlin’s attitude to appointment
‘168 Hours’ paper writes the Armenian parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamian was in Lithuania on April 7-8. According to the paper, on his way home he made a stop in Moscow, but there was no official information about this fact.
‘168 Hours’ says that Hovik Abrahamian met with some circles in Moscow to clarify the Kremlin’s attitude to his possible appointment as Armenian prime minister.
“It is noteworthy that Abrahamian failed to meet even with his counterpart – the speaker of the State Duma Sergei Naryshkin. According to sources, he met with Russian officials of the ‘second echelon’. It is still unclear what they said about the attitude of higher leaders, in particular Vladimir Putin,” the paper notes.
