Hraparak: Mkhitar Harutyunian is promised Kotayk governor post
‘Hraparak’ paper says the current parliamentary speaker Hovik Abrahamian promised the post of Kotayk province’s governor to Mkhitar Harutyunian, a former deputy of the Armenian parliament, member of Prosperous Armenia Party, owner of Mori Plaza. M. Harutyunian took up loans for construction of Plaza complex and later leased it after having some problems.
The newspaper remind its readers that Mkhitar Harutyunian’s nephew- deputy David Kocharian recently opened fire at a restaurant in Hrazdan city in order to ‘torpedo’ that program. ‘Hraparak’ writes that this issue was discussed during Hovik Abrahamian’s visit to Kotayk province. Kotayk governor Kovalenko Shahgaldian, however, said he never heard about it and refused to discuss the issue.
