Zhamanak: Changes expected in Armenia’s diplomatic corps
According to sources of ‘Zhamanak’ paper, along with changes in the government, some changes will be made in Armenia’s diplomatic corps as well. For example, Armenian Ambassador to Belgium and the EU Avet Adonts will be appointed ambassador to Russia, that is, the current Armenian Ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan will be relieved of his post.
Avet Adonts was appointed ambassador to Belgium in 2009. Prior to that, he was a member of Prosperous Armenia Party. After his appointment as ambassador, he froze his membership in that party.
According to some information, former Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan will become ambassador to Belgium and the EU to coordinate Armenia’s activities with the European Union and the European Commission.
