Haykakan Zhamanak: Pension issue to be discussed with PM today
According to sources of ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ paper, the new Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamian invited representatives of all the political forces to his office at 12:00 pm today to discuss the compulsory component of the law on accumulative pensions.
The four non-coalition parliamentary forces postponed their meeting due to the consultation with the PM, although they planned to call a special sitting of the National Assembly on the issue this week and were going to request a respective form from the NA Secretariat today to start collecting signatures of deputies, the paper was informed by members of the four factions.
It is expected that a special sitting of the National Assembly will not be convened at least this week, and depending on the outcome of today’s consultation, the four forces will probably include this issue as urgent in the agenda of the NA four-day session starting next Monday. According to the paper, all the six forces represented in the parliament have agreed to attend the discussion with Hovik Abrahamian.
