Work makes slow headway in parliament. Republicans annoyed
The special session of Armenia’s National Assembly that began on Monday will last until Friday. The deputies of Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) are annoyed at this fact, ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ daily writes.
“The point is that over three dozen bills are included in the special session’s agenda. The parliamentary majority have no time to discuss all the bills. To speed up discussions, HHK deputies have to refrain from making speeches and asking questions to reporters. This also annoys HHK deputies as they have to constantly give the floor to members of the non-coalition factions. Deputies of the ruling faction say that in case of such a work style, they will have to work in June as well,” the paper says.
