2 of 4 wounded soldiers are in serious but stable condition
Four Armenian soldiers were wounded after the Azerbaijani side attempted an incursion in the southern direction of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan around 2:55 am on May 28. The wounded soldiers were taken to Central Clinical Military Hospital in Yerevan.
“These four soldiers received mostly shrapnel wounds. Two of them have brain injuries. They are in serious but stable condition,” Aysor.am was informed by the military hospital head Colonel Aram Asaturyan. According to him, one soldier with brain injury underwent surgery.
On the night of May 27-28 the Azerbaijani side attempted to carry out a reconnaissance-subversive act. The frontline units of the NKR Defense Army noticed in time the advance of Azerbaijani special detachment and took retaliatory actions. The enemy retreated, suffering significant losses. According to preliminary information, at least two Azerbaijani servicemen were killed and another was wounded. The NKR Defense Army also suffered a casualty: Corporal Erik Gasparyan, 19, was killed in close-in fighting.
