Bread prices go up 0.6% in Armenia
Bread prices went up by 0.5% in Armenia in May 2014 on May 2013 and by 0.6% as compared to April prices, according to data of the National Statistical Service.
The rise in bread prices was mainly due to an increase in prices of flour (0.7%), baby porridges (1.0%), bean (1.4%), pastry (2.0%), and pasta (3.7%). There was an increase in prices of high quality bread, crushed wheat, buckwheat in May on April 2014.
0.2-2.5% rise in bread prices was recorded in 9 Armenian cities, a price fall was recorded in one city. Bread prices in other cities remained the same.
Bread prices in Yerevan increased by 0.5% in May on April.
