Armenian president visits Grand Holding companies
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan visited today Grand Tobacco and Grand Candy Companies making up Grand Holding. The president toured the workshops and familiarized himself with investments made by the company, which is among the leaders in domestic manufacture, and the measures taken in recent years to increase production capacities and launch new workshops equipped with modern equipment, according to the presidential press service.
Company executives told the president that Grand Holding companies continue to implement successfully their programs and remain committed to the business traditions established by Hrant Vardanyan, which is also evidenced by economic indices in the first five months of 2014.
Grand Holding plans to maintain the same growth rates this year. 100-130 jobs will be created at Grand Tobacco in connection with purchase of new conveyors in 2014. The Armenian president was informed during his visit to the other company of Grand Holding – Grand Candy that the range of its products (about 410 types) will increase by 15 by the end of the year.
Grand Candy currently employs 3,100 people and plans to create another 150 jobs this year. The number of Grand Holding employees is about 6,500.
At the end of his visit Serzh Sargsyan met with the top executives of Grand Holding. He hailed the consistent steps aimed at developing the company and wished success to Grand Holding.
