Haykakan Zhamanak: Government intends to get new credit
“Haykakan Zhamanak” daily writes that the Armenian government intends to get a new credit soon from international financial organizations to purchase new generation cash registers.
The government explains this step by the need to install free cash registers for some categories of business entities, including shops in border villages and other ‘small’ business entities.
“Yet the installation of those cash registers gives rise to doubt. The fact is that according to experts, the cash registers whose cost price is only $50-60 are purchased for $400 from a Taiwan company. They are made exclusively for Armenia and imported by Cash Register Installation Office state non-profit organization,” the paper says.
