168 Hours: Sharmazanov advises four factions to wait until elections
When the four non-government factions of the Armenian parliament released their demand-statement of 12 points to the authorities, representatives of the top of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) reacted quite positively. They said the behavior of the four political forces became more constructive as the four factions proposed that the Armenian authorities should carry out economic and legal reforms instead of making demands for resignation. Yet the position of HHK members changed soon and they declared that they reject any opportunity of cooperation with the four factions.
“If the four forces want to implement the program, they should wait until the next elections. If they reach success, they will be able to realize even 120 instead of 12 points,” the parliamentary vice speaker Edward Sharmazanov told ‘168 Hours’ paper.
