Hraparak: Sergei Lavrov didn’t meet Prime Minister Abrahamyan
During his recent visit to Armenia, Sergei Lavrov did not meet Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamayn, although he met Tigran Sargsyan during his previous visit, ‘Hraparak’ says.
“The point is that prior to Astana meeting, Hovik Abrahamyan’s made a statement concerning the Customs Union and Karabakh saying that there would be no customs checkpoint, which displeased the Russian side. Russians explain Nazarbayev’s demands in the form of Aliev’s letter by that statement. They mentioned in private conversations that if the Armenian side had not made that statement, there would not have been such a letter as the Armenian and Russian sides had reached an agreement to pass over the issue in silence – in favor of Armenia.
According to the same sources, Hovik Abrahamyan will travel to Moscow in September and this issue will also be discussed with him,” the paper writes.
