Armenian justice minister receives head of ICRC delegation
Armenian Justice Minister Hovhannes Manukyan received today the Head of the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Yerevan Sarah Epprecht, the ministry said.
S. Epprecht spoke about the activities of the ICRC in Armenia and the joint work with the Armenian authorities in search of missing persons in the Karabakh conflict.
The justice minister said the Armenian authorities rely on the experience of the ICRC in the resolution of the problem. H. Manukyan expressed readiness to assist the ICRC mission with specifying clear norms of international humanitarian law in Armenian legislation.
The interlocutors underlined the importance of close cooperation between the ICRC and Armenian Justice Ministry in the penitentiary sphere.
The sides reached an agreement about closer and more diverse cooperation in the future.
