Meat prices decline in Armenia compared to 2013
5.6% fall in prices of foods of animal and plant origin was recorded in Armenia in June 2014 as compared with June 2013. Prices in the commodity group rose by 0.8% compared to May 2014, according to Armenia’s National Statistical Service.
In June 2014 meat prices fell by 0.8% on June 2013 and rose by 0.7% on May 2014. The rise in meat prices was mainly due to the rise in prices of sausages (0.9%), meat dumplings (0.9%), beef (5.8%) and mutton (1.3%).
There was a rise in prices of beef (0.5%), poultry (0.6%) and boiled sausage (0.6%) in the Armenian market in June 2014 as compared to May.
