Armenian president congratulates staff of Prosecutor’s Office

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message on Prosecutor’s Day, according to the presidential press service.

The president said that the Office of Armenian Prosecutor General has traversed a long way and continues to follow a path of reforms today. “I should note with satisfaction that you yourselves disclose the omissions and shortcomings in the system and speak publicly about the need to eliminate them.

The prosecutor’s office is reinforced with young lawyers who have a modern mentality and knowledge and are capable of exercising the prosecutor’s powers enshrined in the Constitution and overcoming the current challenges,” the message reads.

In his message, the president stressed the need to continue work aimed at fighting crime, protecting human rights, strengthening democracy and increasing the efficiency of the anti-corruption struggle.

S. Sargsyan expressed confidence that the employees of the Prosecutor’s Office will solve the difficult problems facing the Office.
