Hailstorm-hit farmers to receive government assistance
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan instructed Ministries of Agriculture and Territorial Administration to set up a commission for assessment of the damage done by recent heavy hail to rural communities in Shirak province.
“You should present information about the damage and losses so that we could provide assistance as far as we can,” H. Abrahamyan said at the government session today.
According to him, yesterday he visited the hailstorm-hit communities, including 21 communities where losses amounted to 100%.
Following the session the agriculture minister will travel to Stepanavan to examine the amount of damage.
